Nice to meet you — I'm Hilel Tsesleris, though you probably know me as "Hilel the Traveler." For me, the Hefer Valley is far more than a dot on the map — it's the landscape of my childhood and the place where my heart lives.
How it started
I grew up on Kibbutz Bahan, and I come from a background of teaching geography and Bible. I've always believed that the best way to connect to our roots is not through books but through our feet — that the most important lessons are learned under the open sky, facing the breathtaking landscapes of our country. In recent years I set myself a goal: to breathe new life into tourism in the Hefer Valley and reveal the hidden gems most travelers simply miss. When the sun sets and the temperatures drop, we set out together on a journey by lantern light — familiar trails take on a mysterious air, the biblical and geographical stories come alive, and nature becomes the perfect backdrop for an evening of togetherness, calm, and joy.
